Principal's Message

Swami Hariharanand Public School, Hardwar, was founded in 1986 by Pujya Maa Swami Santosh Puri Geeta Bhartiji Maharaj with a vision to provide an education that blends academic excellence with strong moral and cultural values.

Our school emblem beautifully reflects this vision through the Sanskrit phrase “हंसा इव श्रेणिशो यतन्ते.” The swan (हंसा) symbolizes wisdom and purity. According to Indian philosophy, the swan has the unique ability to separate milk from water—symbolizing the power to distinguish between knowledge and ignorance, right and wrong. Through education, we aim to develop this same wisdom in our students so that they grow into individuals capable of making thoughtful and responsible decisions.

At Swami Hariharanand Public School, education is not limited to textbooks. We believe in a holistic approach to learning, where academics are supported by practical experiences, co-curricular activities, and value-based education. Our academic system focuses on the balanced development of personality, knowledge, creativity, and discipline.

Affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, the school encourages students to explore a wide range of opportunities in academics, sports, arts, and cultural activities. Programs such as sports, swimming, music, dance, art & craft, yoga, and meditation help students develop confidence, creativity, and inner strength.

At the same time, we remain deeply rooted in our Indian culture and traditions. Festivals such as Basant Panchami, Janmashtami, and Deepawali are celebrated with enthusiasm and respect, helping students understand and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of our country.

In today’s rapidly changing world, it is important that children develop not only knowledge but also strong character, inner discipline, and the courage to make the right choices. Parents and teachers together play a vital role in shaping these qualities.

I often encourage parents to help their children understand the meaning and significance of their names, because when a child understands the value behind their identity, they are inspired to live up to it with purpose and dignity.

Each child is unique and should never feel the need to imitate others. Just as salt quietly enhances the taste of food, a person’s true character quietly enriches the world around them.

The continued support of our students, parents, teachers, alumni, and management has enabled the school to grow steadily over the years. I am confident that together we will continue to uphold the ideals and values that define Swami Hariharanand Public School and guide our students towards a bright and meaningful future.
